About
SpeedLens is a free internet speed test for everyone, everywhere. Like a lens, it brings your connection into focus — because most speed tests show a number and leave you guessing what it means or how much to trust it.
By default, tests run against Cloudflare’s global edge network, which routes you to the nearest of its locations automatically. SpeedLens can also run tests on its own servers; the engine used for your test is always listed in the result details.
SpeedLens shows one clearly labelled banner advertisement. No ad ever loads while a test is running, because ads use bandwidth and processor time that would distort your result. Personalised ads are only shown after you consent.
SpeedLens is designed and developed by Rehan Yousaf, a full-stack developer who built its measurement and statistics engine. The full methodology is public, and accuracy concerns can be reported through the contact page.
Provider, city and country pages are calculated only from tests run on SpeedLens. They are published once there is enough data to be meaningful, and they never include results flagged as unreliable.
